Internally illuminated solar hybrid Vivacity LED Pavement Marker or ‘stud light’, used to guide drivers, riders and pedestrians. The HB-10B is set within the road or path and can have a steady or flashing light. The light sensor activates the marker at sunset (100lux or lower) and switches off when ambient light increases above 100lux. The face of the marker is textured to increase its slip and skid-resistance.

The pavement marker be used to improve the visibility of pedestrian crossings on dark roads or where enhanced visibility is required.  Other applications include highlighting bends in dark roads, and delineating roadside path and bike lanes from general traffic lanes.  It is also used to improve wayfinding on paths through parks and along laneways.

A common cause of failure with other brands of solar LED pavement markers is that after a series of “sunless” days the batteries fail to charge and the light doesn’t work. To address this common cause of failure, the Vivacity Flash Point – Stud Light (Solar) is fitted with a primary and secondary battery system to ensure the light continues to work after a series of sunless days. This ensures the light continues to work, even in the midst of winter in southern Australia.

Note that as with all solar lights, direct daylight exposure is required for solar recharging of the battery. Where this cannot be achieved, including under tree cover, in the shadow of buildings or through road and pedestrian underpasses, then use our battery-only model.

Steady (‘always-on’ in low light or night) the expected life is 5-years, and when flashing / blinking it is 7-years.  The batteries are replaceable and can be obtained by contacting us.
